As we head into the last weekend of September, a cold front heads into CenLa. Both days we can expect overcast skies, rain, and a few thunderstorms. Saturday through Monday morning we could see overall rainfall amounts of 1-4 inches. Widespread severe weather is not expected with this system, but be sure to check in with News Channel 5 for the latest weather updates, just in case.
You can expect rain all day on Saturday and into the night as well. On Sunday morning we'll see even more rain, but rain chances will begin to taper off as we head into the evening hours. Monday morning and afternoon brings a slight chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm, and we should be completely clear of rain chances by Monday night.
By Tuesday morning, we'll finally begin to see some Fall temperatures. Tuesday through Friday expect low temperatures in the mid to upper 50's. We'll also see some relief from those high temperatures we've been seeing in the afternoons. Most of next week will bring highs only in the mid-80's, which is average for this time of the year.
Plan to spend the weekend indoors, but prepare for comfortable Fall weather next week!
