Pineville, La. - For the 3rd consecutive week, Dennis Dunn's LC Wildcats find themselves nationally ranked in the top 25.
After their 38-6 win in the American Southwest Conference opener, the Wildcats moved up 2 spots in the D3Football.com top 25 poll to #21.
This is the 3rd highest ranking for the Wildcats in school history, as they were able to reach #19 and #20 during the 2011 before playing Mary Hardin-Baylor and McMurry, respectively.
ASC member Mary Hardin-Baylor held firm with their #2 ranking, receiving two 1st place votes. The Crusaders come in just behind fellow Division III powerhouse Mount Union, who received 23 of the 25 total 1st place votes.
The Wildcats will look to retain their place in the Top 25 as they take on rival East Texas Baptist in the annual Battle for the Border Claw, which has remained in LC's possession for the past five seasons.
