Overview
A Low Pressure System is moving NE and out of our area. It is located over
Mississippi/Alabama. There is a large Wrap Around cloud shield that is extended
to the western side of Louisiana. In the wake of this system a ridge of high
pressure is building in.

Discussion
As this Low Pressure System moves out of our area, we will continue to see
cooler temperatures. Skies will begin to gradually clear out, becoming partly
cloudy skies overnight. Cooler temperatures are due to what is known is CAA
(Cold Air Advection). This is when a cold and more dense air-mass moves in.
This will keep temperatures down, even though skies will begin to clear and the
sun comes out.
For the rest of the day
Expect mostly cloudy skies with gradually decreasing cloud cover and tapering
rain chances. Highs will stay low due to CAA and conditions will be pleasant
overnight. (You might even call it a little cool). By tomorrow expect mostly
sunny skies and a warming trend to setup.
For the rest of the 7day planner
As this LPS moves out of the area and cooler and more dry air-mass (associated
with High Pressure) moves into the area, expect conditions to become very
pleasant and even chilly at night. During the next couple of days, this ridge
of high pressure will build in and provide clear skies, seasonably average
temperatures and a pleasant feel.
The end of the work week, expect gradually increasing clouds and low rain
chances.
TODAY...Expect mostly cloudy skies with Early,
lingering showers. There will be clearing skies, coupled with tapering rain
chances. Highs... 71-77 with a moderate wind out of the NW, becoming gusty at
times.
MONDAY NIGHT...Partly
cloudy to fair skies with low temperatures becoming cool. Lows... 52-58. North
wind 2-10mph.
