Company Hires Offshore Workers, Welders

LAFAYETTE, La. – Linear Controls Inc., which has seen healthy growth and is seeking to expand, will hold a job fair Tuesday, Oct. 16, geared toward offshore workers and welders.

The job fair, which is being coordinated by the Louisiana Workforce Commission's Lafayette Business and Career Solutions Center, will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Linear Controls, 107½ Commission Blvd., Lafayette.

Linear Controls is looking for applicants with a minimum of one year offshore experience to fill the following openings: offshore electricians, offshore automation technicians, offshore pneumatic technicians, offshore PLC programmers, offshore instrument fitters and specialists, offshore power generation technicians and offshore I&E technicians. These positions will perform a variety of tasks to assist in production activities in an offshore environment.

The company is also seeking to hire welders to work in Linear Controls' climate controlled manufacturing shop. Work schedule will vary depending on the needs of the company.
