Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. - Detectives from the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office followed up on repeat phone complaints about regular drug sales by Eric Pantallion, 21, of 25 Mary St. in Alexandria.

According to the sheriff's office, detectives began conducting surveillance on Pantallion which eventually led to a traffic stop at a gas station near MacArthur Drive and Rapides Avenue. Pantallion was driving the vehicle and Shaterica Shephard, 22, of 2515 13th St. in Alexandria was the passenger.

Detectives located a "Skittles" candy bag full of Hydrocodone pills in Shephard's purse.  Detectives also found a plastic bag containing approximately a dozen suspected crack cocaine rocks hidden under the center console.

Pantallion was arrested and charged with possession of CDS II to distribute, but eventually released on a $10,000 bond. Shephard was also arrested and charged with possession of CDS II to distribute, but released on a $20,000 bond.
