It was a cool start this Tuesday morning across Cenla with lows ranging through the 50s. The lowest readings came from Winnfield, Leesville, and Jena with 52 degrees. Afternoon max temperatures were a mixture of 70s and 80s. Natchez, Miss. only saw a high of 73 while Bellwood was ten degrees higher at 83. A few showers developed during the late afternoon and evening hours.
Speaking of rain, it was a wet weekend and I just now put a pencil to the numbers. The top five totals were Winnfield at 6.48 inches, Gum Springs at 6.33, Nantachie with 6.22, Hagewood at 6.07 and Williana with six inches. Most folks said the rain was welcome but they also told me that a dry week would be a great follow-up.
