Overview
High pressure is continuing to build in and provide mostly sunny skies throughout
the area. There is an upper-level piece of energy that is moving over SE LA. There
is a LPS over the Midwest and Great Lakes Region. It will have a cold front
stretched SSW and begin moving to the East. This will be our next weather maker
for Cenla.

Discussion
A piece of upper-level energy is moving over South East Louisiana. This will
bring that part of the state a good chance for scattered showers and
thunderstorms. Closer to home we will only see a slight chance for some of that
activity to meander into our area (giving us a 20% Chance for rain today).
As this ridge of High Pressure digs in, expect to see very little cloud cover
and cooler overnight lows. Daytime heating will bring highs into a comfortable
range with light to moderate winds. This means that during the next couple of
days, we will mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies at times and very pleasant
conditions with little to no chance for rain. Our next weather maker is scheduled
to move through on Sunday. With the event being so far out, the system could
begin to slow down or speed up. So, that time frame may change.
For the rest of the day
Expect plenty of sunshine with a few clouds possible, becoming partly cloudy at
times and a slight chance for isolated rain. Otherwise, there will be low rain
chances and a light to moderate wind that will swing around to the South,
today. These conditions will continue for the next couple of days. Overnight,
expect fair skies and cool conditions, again.
For the rest of the 7day planner
Expect pleasant conditions, clear skies and cool nights through Friday. There
will also be a slight warming trend leading up to our next cold front. This
warming trend will bring temperatures into the 90 degree range for a few days
with some humidity. As this front approaches (The later part of this work week)
expect increasing clouds and rising rain chances. Throughout the 7 day planner
highs will only climb into the upper 80's. Sunday will be our next significant
chance for rain.
TODAY...Some early fog is possible, otherwise
mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and warm. Highs 81-88. South, becoming SW
wind 2-10 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Fair to partly cloudy skies and seasonally normal temperatures. Lows 55-60. Little or no wind.
