ALEXANDRIA, La. - Three of the candidates running for the Alexandria City Councilman-at-Large seat were guests at a forum held by the Alexandria Exchange Club Thursday.

Steve Coco, Emile Hurts and Lee Rubin answered questions from the club's members about why they are running for office.

The forum was part of the club's weekly meeting at the Fulton Hotel. All three candidates spoke about the need to bring more business to the area and offered their other ideas for a better Alexandria. Next week, the other three candidates are scheduled to speak to the club.
