The week ended on a warm note with max temps about 5-10 degrees higher than the 30-year average. Bellwood once again hit 90 with Natchitoches and Ville Platte at 89 and Winnfield, Marksville, Williana, Colfax, and Hagewood all at 88.
Cooler weather is on the way for the weekend. As I write this blog, a cold front is located between Shreveport and Texarkana. This front will move through Cenla Saturday morning. You'll really feel the change Sunday morning with lows in the middle 50s. Monday morning will see temperatures bottom out in the upper 40s. With clouds, cool weather, and maybe even some drizzle, you may be tempted to get out that gumbo or chili pot Sunday!
Have a safe weekend.
