ALEXANDRIA, La. - Two Louisiana banks will merge to become one by the end of the year.
Peoples State Bank will merge with MidSouth Bank of Lafayette. The merger will give Peoples State customers better banking options as well as more locations throughout Louisiana and Texas.
There are also plans to begin construction on three new locations in Pineville, Alexandria and Leesville.
