LC Remains Ranked #21 After Win

For the 2nd week in a row, the Louisiana College football team checks in at #21 in the weekly Top 25 poll.

This is the fourth consecutive week that LC finds themselves ranked in the Top 25, extending their current school record. The Wildcats were previously ranked #25 in the AFCA poll, and #23 and #21 in the D3Football poll.

This sets up a Top 25 matchup between LC and Mary Hardin-Baylor for the second consecutive year, as the Wildcats and the Cru met last year with LC ranked #19 in the country, the highest ranking in school history.

UMHB, the American Southwest Conference's most storied powerhouse, holds onto the #2 spot in the and AFCA poll. they are coming off of a 49-31 victory over ASC foe Texas Lutheran. The Crusaders lead the ASC in rushing offense, rushing defense, and are second in scoring offense at over 48 points per game.

UMHB and LC kick off this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wildcat Field in Pineville in one of the biggest conference games in recent program history.

The Wildcats fell to the Cru the last time the game was played in Pineville (2010) in heartbreaking fashion 42-38, as Ben McLaughlin's last second pass was intercepted in the endzone by UMHB defender Bronson Shaw.
