Overview
There is a LPS that is over the Ohio River Valley, with a cold front stretched
Southwest and into the Southern Plains. There are good rain chances along this
front. A ridge of High Pressure is over much of the East Coast and SE U.S. and
moving off toward the Atlantic Seaboard. There is another ridge of high
pressure that is building in, in the wake of this front.

Discussion
Today, a ridge of high pressure is slowly moving to the East. As this ridge
moves out, a weak cold front will continue to approach the area. This cold
front is not bearing much rain at all. It doesn't have an extreme temperature change
associated with is. Tomorrow this front will move over the area and break down.
As this front fizzles out, rain chances will go down as well. In the wake of
this system another ridge of high pressure will dig in and skies will become
partly cloudy.
For the rest of the day
Expect plenty of sunshine with a few clouds possible, becoming mostly sunny to
partly cloudy at times. Otherwise, we will see a chilly start throughout
Central Louisiana, followed by pleasant conditions. Highs will only climb to
near the 20 degree mark and no rain is expected. Overnight, expect gradually
increasing cloud cover and rising rain chances as a weak cold front moves into
the area. Overnight lows will drop to around 60.
For the rest of the 7day planner
There will be a gradual warming trend through the midweek.
Expect pleasant conditions, clear skies and warming temperatures through the
week. Altogether, rain chances will be low with the peak rain chances on Wednesday.
We will see slightly higher rain chances as a weak cold front moves through.
The later part of the work week will bring with it, seasonably warm
temperatures (climbing to ear 90) and continued low rain chances, with lows in
the 60's and highs in the mid to upper 80's.
TODAY...A chilly start, followed by sunny
skies and comfortable conditions. Highs 75-81. NE/SW wind 6-12 mph.
TUESDAY
NIGHT...Increasing clouds late and warmer. Lows 57-63. Winds will be light
& variable.
