Overview
There is a LPS that is over the Great Lakes Region, with a cold front stretched Southwest, through parts of the Ohio River Valley and into the Lower Mississippi River Valley Plains. Discussion
A weak cold front is moving over the area. The tail end of this front is only bumping rain chances up to 30% for Central Louisiana. There is abundant cloud cover over our area and we will continue seeing In & Out cloud cover, resulting in a mixture of cloudy skies and sunshine. This front is slowly stalling out and dissipating over our area. This doesn't change much in the forecast since we anticipated this system being weak as it moved through our area. So far today, we have only seen Isolated showers over the area. This will continue throughout the day with peak rain chances being during the max heating of the day (this afternoon). After this front moves out of the area, we will see a continued warming trend, coupled with clearing skies and low rain chances through the end of the week.

For the rest of the day
Expect a mixture of cloud cover and sunshine as in and out cloud cover continues. There will be a chance for isolated rain throughout the afternoon as a front dissipates over the area. Winds will become light to moderate and swing around to the North and NE in the wake of this weak front. Highs will climb into the 80's and only a third of the area will see some of this rainfall.

For the rest of the 7day planner
In the wake of this weak cold front there will be a gradual warming trend through the end of the week. With tapering rain chances and clearing skies, becoming Mostly Sunny to Partly Cloudy, under a deep ridge of high pressure. Rain chances will return toward the end of the 7day planner and beginning of the work week as another front approaches the area.

TODAY...Partly to mostly cloudy, with In & Out cloud cover coupled with a chance (30%) for scattered rain or drizzle. 79-85. A variable wind as a weak front moves into the area.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Mostly to partly cloudy skies and mild. Lows 58-64. A light and variable wind.
