ALEXANDRIA, La. - I-49 reopens after an 18-wheeler accident shut down and blocked lanes all day Thursday.
Two 18-wheelers traveling northbound collided with each other leaving mangled wreckage this morning. One of the trucks spilled its load of packaged coffee grounds all over the interstate. One of the drivers was taken to Rapides Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
