ALEXANDRIA, La. - On Oct. 10, APD detectives arrested Loay Zeidan, 33, of Alexandria and charged him with one count of armed robbery and one count of second degree battery.
On Sept. 7, APD officers investigated a reported robbery in the 5300 Block of 3rd Street. The victim was battered during the incident, according to reports.
Detectives issued of a warrant for Zeidan's arrest, and he was taken into custody on Wednesday without incident. Zeidan was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries received during the incident, officers say.
