ALEXANDRIA, La. - Alexandria police have arrested an Alexandria man they believe shot and killed a 26-year-old local rapper last week.
APD says 29-year-old Willie Andrews was arrested in connection with the shooting. Andrews was taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and charged with first-degree murder.
The shooting took place at the Quick 'n' Easy gas station on the corner of Lee and Macarthur last Wednesday. At the busy intersection, just an hour after the sundown, Brandon ‘TrappMoney' Williams was shot and killed.
Williams was a well-respected and popular rapper among the Cenla music community. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
