Pineville Man Arrested For Child Abuse

PINEVILLE, La. - A Pineville man is accused of beating a child until there were bruises.

RPSO says they were called to the 800 block of Williams Lake Road where Jacob Fontenot, 28, was accused of beating a child with a belt and then taking a car without permission.

Investigators say the beating left bruises on the child's lower back. Fontenot was arrested a short time later and charged with cruelty to a juvenile.
