ALEXANDRIA, La.--Two people are in custody, after an incident took place a block away Acadian Elementary School.
Alexandria Police say it happened on the corner of Evangeline and Third Street.
Police say an altercation took place shortly before 3:00 Monday afternoon. Witnesses reported shots being fired, but police said they could not confirm that.
Two people were taken into custody. One of those received medical treatment, but was not taken to the hospital.
Police say the school was not put on lockdown, and school is now out.
APD said that no students were injured in the altercation.
