Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. - CHRISTUS Cabrini Cancer Center is scheduled to host Praying For A Cure, a breast cancer awareness event, free to the public on Monday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Women's and Children's Atrium.

"We wanted to take this opportunity to step back from all the fundraising efforts to celebrate and acknowledge that our strength comes from God, who gives us life and gives us hope," says Yolanda Holts, manager of oncology and Wound Center Services at CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital. "We hope to make this an annual event during the month of October for breast cancer patients, survivors, their friends, family and physicians to come together during their busy day and take a moment and pray for a cure."
