Sunday night's front brought a pleasant start to the new business week in central Louisiana. Morning lows were a mixture of upper 50s and middle 60s and afternoon highs ranged from the upper 70s to the lower 80s. These numbers are typical for mid-October.
Scattered rain and a few thunderstorms accompanied the cold front. For the most part, rainfall amounts were modest with most locations reporting less than one inch. A few substantial totals were collected in Pineville with 2.40, D.G. Hunter Power Plant in Alexandria with 1.89, KALB-TV with 1.62, Moreauville with 1.55, Brouillette with 1.40, and Kolin with 1.13. Everyone said the rain was welcome. At some places it was the first rain of the month.
I'll update tomorrow.
