Missing TX Woman's License Found At Brandon Scott Lavergne's Home

Posted: Updated:

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A search of Brandon Scott Lavergne's home in the investigation of Mickey Shunick's death uncovered the driver's license of a Texas woman whose whereabouts remain unknown. That's according to a review of a case file released Monday.

Lavergne is serving a life sentence after pleading guilty in August to two counts of first-degree murder in the slayings of Shunick and Lisa Pate.

Lavergne admitted to killing Shunick after abducting the University of Louisiana at Lafayette student on May 19.

Pate's remains were discovered in rural Acadia Parish in 1999.

Detectives found the wallet and driver's license of Madeline Aumiller in a search of Lavergne's home on July 5.

Amiller's brother told authorities his sister last accessed her bank account in April.
