Leesville Woman Drives Off In Cruiser

LEESVILLE, La. - The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Leesville woman who is accused of driving off in a sheriff's office cruiser early Sunday morning.

According to reports from the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a call at a home on South Third Street at 2 a.m.

A deputy was talking with some people when Christina Lord, 39, of Leesville, came out of the home and took off with the deputy's car.

Louisiana State Police found the patrol car heading south on Highway 171 a short time later and arrested Lord for criminal mischief.

Lord was booked into the Vernon Parish Jail and bond was set at $ 1,050. Lord posted bond and was released.
