PINEVILLE, La. - A construction worker's leg was amputated after a severe injury Thursday afternoon at the new O.K. Allen bridge project on La. Hwy 71 near Buhlow Lake.
According to Pineville Police Department, Robert Tyler Williams, 26, caught his leg in a piece of construction equipment and it was partially severed.
Williams was transported Thursday evening to Rapides Regional Medical Center for treatment. As of Friday morning, relatives say he is in stable condition.
