Cenla Plans For Trick Or Treat

ALEXANDRIA, La. - Some areas in Cenla have announced the hours for all the little ghouls and goblins to go trick or treat this year. They will all host trick or treating events on Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31.

In Alexandria, trick or treating will be held 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. The city asks that all children be accompanied by an adult, carry a flashlight, and add reflective tape to costumes. They're also asking those who want to hand out treats that they turn on their porch lights, so that kids will know where to go.

The Alexandria Mall welcomes all kids to trick or treating there from 5p.m. - 7 p.m. on Halloween Night. This event is free to the public.

In Marksville, trick or treating will be 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. around the courthouse square.

Leesville will have trick or treating 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Main Street.

Pineville will get into the Halloween spirit by kicking off its Family Fall Fest at Kees Park on Oct. 30, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Take a canned food item for your entrance fee to benefit the city's food bank. Then, trick or treating will 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Halloween.

Colfax will have its trick or treaters out from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m on Halloween, while Natchitoches have trick or treating from 5 to 7 p.m. on Main Street.

The Polk Street Neighborhood Association is having their first neighborhood Halloween party in the Historic Drew Bridges Bottle House on Oct. 31st starting at 5pm. The Drew Bridges Bottle House is in the backyard of 1703 Polk Street. To RSVP, please call Heather at 318-229-7613.

Hallow Him at Philadelphia Baptist Church on Oct. 31 from 5:30-8:30. The cost is $2 for children and free for parents.

Fall Festival at Campti United Pentecostal Church on Oct. 31st. The event starts at 7pm!

Trick or Treat Street at LSUA is this Thursday, Oct. 25th! The cost is $3 per person. Tickets can be purchased through our Auxillary Services Department or at the gate. This is a family friendly event and children of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church in Pine Prairie. Oct. 31st from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Fun jumps, Hot Dogs and safe fun for all.

The Moreauville Halloween Event will take place on Wednesday Oct 31 from 5:3-7:30 @ the fire station across from Avoyelles High School.

Center Point Pentecostal Church in Center Point, LA is having its 3rd annual "Trunk or Treat" this Saturday, October 27 from 5-8 PM. Admission is free.

Alexandria Mall To Host Mall-O-Ween, Alexandria Mall, Wednesday, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
This event is free to the public.

Lahey Chapel United Methodist Church at 2770 Highway 1200 in Boyce is open to Trick or Treaters from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

Tales Along the Bayou - Ghost Stories at Kent Plantation House, 6-8 p.m. 
Hosted in partnership with the Rapides Parish Library, this free event starts at 6pm with songs and stories for smaller children and after a short intermission scary stories will begin at 7:15 for older children. Get here early to claim your spot, bring blankets and dinner, or buy dinner from Chic-fil-A. Candy and other snacks available for purchase as well.

"Formulating the Perfect Murder" Dinner Theatre at Southern Forest Heritage Museum, 7 p.m.
Theatrical performance by Unusual Suspects Theatre Group. Dinner catered by Mi Tierra Restaurant. Following the murder mystery, there will be a haunted tour of the grounds at the sawmill town. Tickets are $25.

"Mass Murders at the Sawmill" Movie & Train Ride at Southern Forest Heritage Museum, 5 p.m.
Watch the movie involving the re-haul skidder, then take a train ride through the woods, and join the adventure under the planer mill. Food and drinks will be for sale. Tickets are $7.

Tickets are $6 for ages 1 and older. Kids 12 and younger will have a magical time trick-or-treating along the Storybook Trail where costume characters, music, dancing, and scenery come to life. Those who dare can choose the Spooky Trail and meet scary creatures of the night.
