The warm weather pattern persisted Tuesday over central Louisiana. Both morning lows and afternoon highs are warmer than usual for late October.
Morning lows ranged through the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Folks around Anacoco, Leesville, Colfax and Peason saw the coolest start at 57 degrees. The Forest Service station between Bentley and Pollock in Grant Parish only fell to 65 degrees. The 30-year average low for October 23rd is 52 degrees.
Afternoon highs ranged through the 80s. The warmest locations included Bellwood at 88 and Peason at 87. On the lower end of the thermometer, Marksville had 82 degrees. Normally, we should be seeing upper 70s.
A couple more warm days and mild nights until a significant cold front moves through the area late Friday. More on that topic later.
