Unfortunately, the end of the weekend brings rain to CenLa. Tonight we will begin to see increasing clouds and increasing rain chances ahead of our next cold front. The best chance for rain will be beginning after midnight and running through early tomorrow afternoon. It will be mainly rain showers, but we will likely see a few thunderstorm here and there. However, widespread severe weather is not expected, but we could see a few isolated strong thunderstorms. The biggest threat with these would be small hail, strong winds, and heavy rains. Chance of rain tonight through midnight is 30%. After midnight and before noon tomorrow chance of rain is 60%. After that rain chances will begin to decrease, but we may see a few stray showers Sunday night.
On Monday evening a reinforcing cold front will move through the area. This is the front that will really cool us off, although it won't bring quite as much rain as the first front. Chance of rain Monday is 30%.
As for temperatures, the next two nights will see lows in the 60's and then 50's. After that, we'll drop into the 40's for the rest of the week. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 70's and the lower 70's on Monday. After that we'll see the upper 60's for a day or so before we warm into the mid-70's again.
Overall, Sunday will be the "worst" weather day in the 7 day forecast. The majority of next week we will enjoy some nice fall weather!
