A cold front is currently moving towards the area. As a result, we have seen scattered showers and overcast skies for most of the afternoon. Tonight we will see most of the activity. We can expect rain, heavy at times, and thunderstorms. We may see a few *severe* thunderstorms. The biggest threat from any severe thunderstorms will be heavy rains, strong winds, and hail. However, the possibility of isolated tornadoes can not be ruled out. Winds from the S at 10-15 mph (higher gusts in T-storms) shifting to the NW at 5-12 mph after the front passes. Chance of rain is 90%.
Monday morning we may see a few lingering showers, mainly before 8am. The morning will begin cloudy and steadily clear out throughout the day. We should end the day with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Beginning tomorrow night we'll see much cooler low temperatures. When you wake up on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning you can expect temperatures in the 30's! We'll also only warm into the 60's for high temperatures through Friday.
The next chance for rain doesn't enter the forecast until next weekend. An upper level disturbance may move through the area, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
Enjoy the cooler temperatures this week!
