Overview
There is a Low Pressure System, North of New England, that will continue to
move East and off the Atlantic Coastline. There is also a strong cold front
that is associated with this system. This front has a likely chance for rain
and a slight risk for some rough weather associated with it. In the wake of
this system, expect a ridge of high pressure to bring with it; clearing skies,
colder temperatures and gusty winds to much of the Eastern half of the Nation.

Discussion
In the wake of a cold front, this ridge of high pressure will remain extended over
our area for the next several days. Therefore, our weather pattern will remain
under the influence of this feature. So, a cold start (in the 30's), sunny skies and a
northerly breeze will be the theme for the next couple of days.
For the rest of the day
Expect to see sunny skies, coupled with very cool conditions and a moderate wind
out of the North, becoming breezy at times. Temperatures will top out in the
60's and lower and become cool early as a more dense and cold air-mass moves
into the region. Overnight, we will see temperatures drop well into the 30's with
a light and variable wind and clear skies.
Near freezing temperatures will be abundant throughout the viewing area for the
first time this fall.

For the rest of the 7day planner
This deep ridge of high pressure will continue to build and gain control of our
forecast. Through the later part of the week, we will see sunny skies and rain
chances off the board. Temperatures will drop into the 30's followed by lower
40's as a gradual warming trend sets up. Slight rain chances will return at the
end of the 7day planner.
TODAY...An early chance (30%) for lingering,
scattered rain before 10am as a cold front continues to push through the
region. Through the morning and midday hours, expect clearing skies, becoming
sunny with much cooler temperatures. Highs 62-68. North wind 10-22mph and
breezy at times.
MONDAY NIGHT...Clear
skies with near freezing temperatures. Lows 30-36. Light and Variable wind.
