Cenla Racks up Awards at Cross Country State Meet

Central Louisiana was well represented on day 1 of the state Cross Country meet held at NSU. Boys and girls of class 2A, 1A, B and C participated today with Cenla bringing home 4 total state titles overall.

In class C the Elizabeth Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs finished 1st overall. For the girls, Kennedy Sutterfield of Elizabeth finished 3rd at 22:07.86; Madison Paul of Elizabeth finished 5th at 23:07.26 and Grace Gunder of Elizabeth came in 9th at 24:13.64

Class C boys Collin McClellan of Elizabeth finished 4th at 18:16.72, Joseph Boswell of Elizabeth finished 8th at 18:23.36 and Houston Brady of Elizabeth came in 10th at 18:35.09.

Class B Anacoco boys and girls won the state title as the Grace Christian Lady Warriors finished 2nd. For the girls, Tiffany Hafer of Anacoco came in 5th at 20:44.04 and Tia Simms of Anacoco came in 6th at 20:45.40. Also Olivia Slayter of Grace came in 7th at 20:47.21 and Hailey Teal of Grace finished 9th at 21:10.42.

Class B boys Samuel Turnipseed of Anacoco finished 4th at 17:03.02, Austin Williams of Anacoco came in 6th at 17:23.41. In 7th was Zachary Brenner of Grace with a time of 17:26.87, Cohen LaCour of Grace in 9th at 17:39.93 and in 10th Chris Moeller of Avoyelles Public Charter at 17:43.79.

2A Girls the Menard Lady Eagles finished 3rd overall as Mallory Robichaux came in 10th at 19:46.82. Rosepine Lady Eagles came in 12th and Many finished 18th.

2A Boys Dustin Thomspon of Rosepine finished 7th at 16:21.74.

Rosepine as a team finished 8th, Menard 13th and Many 19th

In 1A Boys Scott Maggio of St. Mary's finished 7th at 17:17.27 as his team came in 6th overall.
