Monday dawned chilly across CenLa with temperatures in the 30s on most thermometers for the seventh straight morning. Overall, however, temperatures were a bit higher than previous mornings. In fact, none of our weather watchers reported freezing temperatures with the lowest at Winnfield with 33 degrees. Locally, AEX fell to 36 and ESF was one degree lower. Normally, we see the lower to the middle 40s.
The afternoon was delightful with almost all highs in the 70s. The highest readings came from Bellwood at 75 degrees and Ville Platte with 74. The lowest max temp came from Charles Park in Alexandria, where the thermometer only climbed to 69 degrees.
Temperatures Tuesday morning will fall into the 40s with afternoon highs in the comfortable 70s. Clouds will increase and a few sprinkles remain possible.
