By all accounts, Tuesday was another "Chamber of Commerce" day.
Minimum temperatures were not as low as previous mornings, with 40s areawide. Local airports registered 42 at AEX and 43 at ESF. These temperatures are right on target with the 30-year average of 42 degrees, but well above the hard freeze of 22 degrees in 1951.
Afternoon max temps rose into the 70s areawide, with 77 at ESF and 76 at AEX. This is well above the average of 67 degrees. The record high for the date is 88 degrees in 1963. Here is an interesting historical note: following that warm spell in late November, the month of December 1963 turned out to be one of the coldest on record.
Enjoy another beautiful day Wednesday, the eve of Thanksgiving.
