Everyone is talking about the gorgeous weather we had Wednesday. Some folks remarked that it was like spring while others said it was like "Indian Summer." The bottom line is that it was truly a wonderful Wednesday.
Morning lows ranged through the 40s, except at the warmest locations where Fort Polk only fell to 50 degrees. The coolest sites only fell into the lower 40s, with 42 at Winnfield and Natchez, Miss. The 30-year benchmark average is 44 degrees. The record low was 27 set in 2006.
Ample sunshine brought daytime highs well into the 70s, with Bellwood reaching 80 degrees. These temperatures are well above the average of 67 degrees but not even close to the record of 84 in 2007.
The fine weather will continue into Thanksgiving Day. However, there may be some early fog and high cloudiness will increase during the day. Temperatures will be comfortable.
I'll post again Friday; have a blessed day.
