A cold front moved through central Louisiana Friday accompanied by lower temperatures and some rain. Daytime maximum temperatures from our weather watchers network definitely reflected the front. The max temp at Winnfield and Natchitoches only reached 61 degrees. In contrast, Opelousas reached 76 degrees.
Scattered rain accompanied the frontal passage but amounts were scant. Montgomery and Simpson measured 0.20 inches while many other locations in the eastern and southern portions of the viewing area received no rain.
High pressure will move over central Louisiana Saturday. This will set the stage for a chilly weekend. A light freeze will occur at some locations Sunday morning.
Have a great weekend and I'll return Monday.
