We've seen unseasonably warm temperatures over the past few days. Today we tied our record high temperature of 78 degrees that we set on December 1, 1970! Our average low temperatures for this time of year are in the upper 30's to lower 40's. Our average highs should range in the lower to mid 60's. Sunday will be another warm day. Some areas may even reach the 80's! These warmer temperatures are being caused in part by all of the moisture in the atmosphere in our region. That means we'll continue to see a mixture of sunshine and clouds for the next few days, as well as some patchy fog developing at night.
Our next system comes this way on Tuesday. A cold front will move through the area bringing showers and a few thunderstorms. Some of the rain may stick around through early Wednesday morning. After the front is out of the way we really won't see much of a difference. We'll only cool down a few degrees, keeping lows in the 50's and highs in the 70's. that's because we'll see continued moisture ahead of another front that will move through next Friday/Saturday. That one should cool us down a bit more.
Enjoy the warmer weather!
