Overview
A weak cold front continues to push SE and into the Gulf of Mexico. As this front fizzles out, a developing Low Pressure System will move through CenLA. In the wake of this system, a ridge of high pressure will dig in and bring Cold temperatures, clear skies and a moderate wind.

Discussion
A well developed cold front, associated with a sharp cold front will move NE tonight and bring a very likely chance for rain, coupled with a slight risk for severe weather to Central Louisiana.  This system will slowly move through and affect our area through Tuesday & Wednesday (am).  Conditions could include, but are not limited to: Heavy Rainfall, Strong winds, possible hail and a risk for isolated tornadoes.
This warning should not be taken lightly. The atmosphere  is set up in a way that will actually facilitate the development of strong thunderstorms.

For the rest of the day,
Sunny skies, with gradually increasing clouds and High temperatures that are expected to be more than 10-12 degrees warmer than average. The increasing clouds this afternoon will lead to rising ran chances, overnight. Santa is still expected to make his rounds locally and should make it through before the extreme weather gets to us.
During the Early (am) hours, conditions will worsen and become favorable for very high rain chances.
