Inmate Escapee Captured

ALEXANDRIA, La. - The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office isays the inmate who escaped work detail Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. around the Lincoln Road / Hudson Road area in Alexandria, was captutred on Wednesday night.

The inmate had been identified as 31-year-old Terrell Jerrod Bryant was serving time for a narcotics conviction.

Deputies say Bryant was captured without incident in Pineville. They say the investigation into his escape iis continuing.

"We appreciate the Alexandria Police Department and the Pineville Police Department for their assistance" said Rapides Parish Sheriff William Hilton.

Bryant was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and was booked for simple escape charges.

Investigators say ore arrests may be forthcoming in the case.
