As high pressure tracks across our area, we'll see our coldest temperatures of the season. Avoyelles, Rapides, and Vernon Parishes are under a Hard Freeze Warning for tonight. That means these freezing temperatures will stick around for several hours.
Sunday's forecast looks great, but as we head into Monday we'll see our forecast begin to change. A cold front will move through the area early Tuesday morning. As a result, we'll see plenty of rain for Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. We could see 1-2 inches of rainfall. We may also see a few thunderstorms, although severe weather is not expected. On Tuesday a surface low will develop on the southern end of the cold front, which will bring more rain for CenLa on Tuesday night and Wednesday. By Thursday a second, weaker cold front moves through bringing another chance for showers and T-storms.
Enjoy the dry, cool weather while you can!
