After suffering their first loss of the season to Ferrum on Friday night, Louisiana College was need of a bounce back performance on Saturday.
They found exactly that, coming in the form of a 78-63 victory over Transylvania on the final day of the Huntingdon Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
The Lady Wildcats looked like their normal dominant selves on defense, as they forced 33 turnovers and held Transylvania scoreless from beyond the 3-point arc.
Neka Jones led LC in scoring as the sophomore guard, who has been red hot since ASC play began, scored 13 points on 4-8 shooting, 3-4 from behind the 3-point line.
Fellow sophomore Skylar Chenevert turned in her finest outing of the season. Getting a starting nod for the first time all season, Chenevert scored 11 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and had 3 steals.
Karylon Thornton (11 points, 4 assists) and Natosha Gottlieb (10 points, 4 rebounds) also reached double figures for Louisiana College.
After playing only two games over the past two weeks, the Lady Wildcats (9-1) will now prepare for a rough stretch of four games in seven days, beginning with a home matchup against Texas Lutheran on January 3 at 5:30 p.m.
