I just finished talking to the weather watchers and everyone has had enough rain. General totals seem to be in the 2-4 inch range with the highest amounts around five inches. The top totals thus far include five inches just outside of Pineville on Highway 107; Williana in Grant Parish reported 4.90 inches; Longleaf in SW Rapides measured 4.50 inches; and Eunice measured 4.00 inches.
The rain will continue through the night and even into Thursday. Additional amounts of 1-3 inches may occur and that will increase the flooding threat. The rain should finally end late Thursday and Friday appears dry. However, the rain returns for the weeknd and early next week. It's been a wet January so far-the drought is over.
