Rain returned to central Louisiana Tuesday, Tuesday night, and early Wednesday. A strong west/northwest wind ushered in a distinct chill following the rain. For the most part, rainfall amounts were modest with less than an inch reported. However, several locations reported locally heavy amounts. Williana in northern Grant Parish measured 2.70 inches and Colfax, also in Grant, reported 2.35 inches.
Dry air has taken up residence over central Louisiana and will last generally for the next seven days. I only have a 20% chance for rain on Saturday and Monday through the middle of next week.
Temperatures Thursday morning will fall into the 30s, with a few locations reaching the freezing mark for the first time in a while.
