Teen, 16, Takes BB Gun To School

Posted: Updated:

NATCHITOCHES, La. – A 16-year-old student at Natchitoches High School reportedly brought a BB gun to school Thursday.

Police and school officials got a report that the student brought the gun to school and they found it hidden in the gym area.

An investigation is underway, but sources familiar with the matter say there are no criminal charges pending at this time against the student.

The student told police that he just wanted to show the gun to another student, according to sources.

A call to the school board regarding the incident was not returned on Thursday afternoon.
