Beginning late tonight, mainly after midnight, we'll see our rain chances begin to increase as warm, moist air continues to filter into Cenla. We can expect to see scattered showers and a few thunderstorms through Sunday morning. The main weather action will occur with a strong line of storms ahead of the cold front. This main line looks to approach Cenla sometime between 11am-3pm. This line will contain strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, tornadoes, hail, and heavy rains. Everyone should stay weather alert throughout the day on Sunday.
Sunday night we'll begin to see rain chances decreasing, but can still expect a few scattered showers. On Monday the frontal boundary stalls to our south, bringing continued rain throughout the day on Monday. By Tuesday, another cold front moves through the region. this front will give us the push we need to clear the rain out of Cenla. We could see 1-3 inches of rain with this event, with higher totals in some areas.
The remainder of next week we'll see nice weather with sunny skies and cooler temperatures.
