Fat Tuesday brought an abundance of rain for the third straight day. The final piece of a stubborn upper-level disturbance finally lifted out of the southwestern U.S. and triggered the moisture available in the atmosphere to make rain and thunderstorms. The top five totals for Monday night through Tuesday:
Aloha...2.25
Big Island...2.00
Williana...1.90
Otis/Hineston...1.75
Colfax...1.74
All of the weather watchers said we've had enough rain. In fact, the smaller river systems in central Louisiana experienced a sharp rise in response the the recent heavy rain. The forecast should cooperate through the weekend.
