Tonight we'll begin to see increasing clouds and increasing rain chances. Later tonight a piece of energy will work it's way across the region, bringing scattered showers and possibly even a few thunderstorms for Cenla- mainly after 9pm.
As we head towards morning the rain chances will return for Cenla as a warm front moves out of the Gulf of Mexico and to the north. You can expect to see overcast skies and scattered showers throughout the morning hours. However, a cold front will move towards the region in the afternoon hours, bringing a good chance for rain and thunderstorms- beginning mainly after noon. The Storm Prediction has our area under a "slight risk" for Monday. This means there is a good chance that we may see a few thunderstorms reach severe limits.
The rain will begin to move out early Monday night and we'll see clearing skies as the cold air moves in. This will bring us a fantastic looking forecast for the remainder of the week. We'll see sunny skies with highs in the lower 60's and lows in the upper 30's for Tuesday and Wednesday. However, a reinforcing cold front will move through on Wednesday. It won't bring us anything other than even more cool air. This front will allow temperatures to drop into the lower to mid 30's for lows and the mid 50's for highs.
Yet another reinforcing shot of cool air will move in Friday/Saturday, allowing for our temperatures to stay slightly below average and our skies to stay sunny throughout next weekend.
Bring the umbrella for Monday, but the sunglasses for the rest of the week!
