I finished talking to the weather watchers a few minutes ago and they all said it was a pleasant Tuesday.
The day began cool with lows in the 40s and 50s. The coolest readings came from Winnfield with 46 degrees and Natchez, Miss. with 47 degrees. Bentley, Eunice, and DG Hunter Power Plant all reported 54 degrees for the warmest morning minimum. The 30-year average is 51.
The afternoon warmed considerably with ample sunshine before clouds rolled in from the southwest. Winnfield went all the way to 82 degrees while DeRidder only managed 75.
A few sprinkles were noted over portions of central Louisiana. Many reported 0.06 and Natchitoches 0.03; elsewhere trace amounts fell.
Significant rain is on the way for Wednesday; be careful if you have to be out.
