WET (AND CHILLY) WEDNESDAY

Posted: Updated:

All sorts of interesting weather happened Wednesday. To begin with, temperatures fell all day behind a cold front. Max temperatures in the 60s occurred during the night and min temperatures in the 40s occurred during the evening. Winnfield saw the most spectacular temperature swing with a high of 82 Tuesday and a high of 49 today.

Soaking rains accompanied the front. The highest totals came from the southern part of the viewing area. Here are the top five amounts: Grand Coteau 2.37; Eunice 2.31; Brouillette 2.20; Hickory Hill 2.10; and Ville Platte 2.00.

The damp chill will last through Thursday. After that, a trend toward drier and warmer weather will set in.
