HUMIDITY RETURNS

Posted: Updated:

The Gulf of Mexico is open for business as southerly flow responds to a developing storm system over the southwestern U.S.

Morning low temps were a good 15 degrees higher than average and that made for a very muggy commute. Lows ranged through the 70s around central Louisiana with Esler Airport the warm spot at 75 degrees.

Clouds kept afternoon temperatures lower than Monday's readings. Anacoco still managed to reach 88 degrees while Winnfield, Colfax, Bentley, and Ball/Tioga only saw 80 degrees.

Hit-and-miss sprinkles and showers accompanied the moist flow with Jena reporting 0.10 inches. Many other locations reported trace amounts.

The weather pattern for Wednesday will be similar.
