After a fabulous weekend, the new business week began with a delightful day.
Early risers Monday were greeted by a chill as they headed out to begin a new week of work and school. Temperatures ranged through the 40s and a few lower 50s. The lowest minimum temperature was reported from the local area, with Ball/Tioga and Esler Airport with 43 degrees. Marksville was the warm spot with a low of 51 degrees. The 30-year average is 57 degrees.
Full time sunshine turned the temperature around 30+ degrees from the morning low to the afternoon high. Simmesport and Bellwood reported 82 degrees but Cherokee Village, Union Hill/Glenmora, and Jonesville only made it up to 78 degrees. These readings are on target for the season with the 30-year average being 80 degrees.
The weather pattern will change as moisture and two fronts combine to bring back the chance for rain and a few thunderstorms.
