The delightful weather pattern continued Tuesday with fresh morning lows and a warm afternoon.
Morning lows ranged through the 50s across central Louisiana. Esler Airport, Jena, and Leesville all reported 52 degrees. Bellwood in Natchitoches Parish came in with the highest minimum at 59 degrees. The 30-year average for the date is 63 degrees and the record is 45 set in 1971.
Plentiful sunshine turned temperatures around 30+ degrees by the afternoon as highs ranged through the 80s. Bellwood, Anacoco, and Colfax reported 88 degrees for the highest reading while Natchez, Miss. and Oakdale made it up to 82 degrees. The 30-year average is 85 degrees and the record is 94 set in 1899.
Clouds will increase Wednesday and a low-end chance for rain returns by late in the day.
