After a cool first half of May, temperatures are rebounding back to seasonal levels.
Morning lows were seasonal with the lowest reading coming from Natchez, Miss. at 59 degrees. Bellwood and Montgomery were the warm spots with 68 degrees. The daily average is 64.
Clouds kept afternoon temperatures from getting too high, but lower to middle 80s were observed across the area. The warm spot was Anacoco with 87.
Trace amounts of rain fell were scattered around central Louisiana; however, portions of Winn Parish reported measurable rainfall. Gum Springs counted 0.28 inches and Winnfield saw 0.08 inches.
Friday will be warm and breezy with a 10-20% chance for rain.
